Burt Jones Rural Community Experience

This year, the Burt Jones Rural Community Experience will take place in Tuscaloosa County.
Blackburn Fellows, Advisory Board members, and Blackburn Society members are invited to join our hybrid panels via Zoom. New students and returning students located in Tuscaloosa will meet in person.
The panels accessible via Zoom will be:
- Friday, November 6, 1:00-2:15 pm: Business Community Forum with Bobby Bragg (Director of Practice Growth, JamisonMoneyFarmer PC), Jheovanny Gomez (Owner, Jalapeños Mexican Restaurants), Brad Newman (Plant Manager, ZF Chassis), and Jim Page (President and Chief Executive Officer, The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama)
- Saturday, November 7, 9:00-10:15 am: Tuscaloosa Bailout with Jenny Carroll (Wiggins, Childs, Quinn & Pantazis Professor of Law, The University of Alabama School of Law), La-Kisha Emmanuel (Co-Founder), Sarah Ann Hughes (Co-Founder), and Allen Slater, (Student Attorney, The University of Alabama School of Law Criminal Defense Clinic)
- Saturday, November 7, 1:30-2:45 pm: K-12 Education in Tuscaloosa County with Dr. Terri Boman, (Executive Director, Tuscaloosa Education Foundation), Rev.
