Perspectives on Leadership: Entrepreneurship Panel
September 12, 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
There are few careers more capable of influencing the way we live and work than the revolutionary work of an entrepreneur. They provide jobs, wealth, standard of living improvements, and conditions for a flourishing society and economy. Entrepreneurs have the unique ability to create social change and drive community development through the creation of new businesses.
In this installment of the Perspectives on Leadership Lecture Series, we will explore leadership and opportunity in entrepreneurship. You will hear from a panel of influential guests in a variety of sectors: Attorney Samarria Dunson, Owner of The Dunson Group, LLC; Dr. Mark Martin, CEO of Build UP; Jennifer Mims, Restaurateur of Real and Rosemary; and Joan Smith, President of Axilus Technology Development.
They will speak on not only the impact entrepreneurship has on the community, culture, and society, but also how they achieved success in their field as leaders. The event is co-sponsored by: Alpha Kappa Psi, Culverhouse Real Estate Society, American Association of University Women, Forza Financial, and Society of Women Engineers.
The panel discussion (5:00pm to 6:00pm) will be followed by a private dinner and Q&A Session (6:30pm to 7:30pm) both are open to all UA students. RSVP for the panel only, or both panel and dinner (limited to 30 slots).
