Through the Blackburn Institute’s Daniel Community Scholars Program, the Daniel Foundation of Alabama funds Blackburn Fellow projects to address the needs of Alabama communities. Fellows can apply for awards in the fall or spring semesters (see the proposal guidelines below), and funding is available for new and returning students as well.

Examples of previous Fellows projects include faith-based racial reconciliation, student emotional growth and mental heath curriculum, and empowering the next generation of Black women in government in Alabama.
