Through the generous support of donors, the Blackburn Institute provides funding to select students toward the cost of academic expenses and public policy internships through the following endowed support funds including:
Don and Barbara ‘Bobbie’ Siegal Endowed Scholarship;
Drummond Company Travel Experience; and
Vulcan Materials Company Government Experience.
Public Policy Internships
Blackburn students can apply for a stipend up to $1,000 for internships with elected or appointed officials in Alabama or D.C.
This Siegal Scholarship awards $2,750 annually to one Blackburn student who has demonstrated an interest in and a concern for the promotion of cultural understanding while maintaining an active participation in the Blackburn Institute.
