This award was created in 2021 by the Fellows Officers to amplify and celebrate Blackburn Fellows’ extensive leadership and civic engagement work and recognize one Fellow per year who exemplifies the Institute’s values.

Application Timeline

Nominations open at the annual Spring Networking Dinner. Fellows may self-nominate, or they may be nominated by students, other Fellows, Advisory Board Members, or Blackburn Society Members. Nominations for the 2022 award should be received by 11:59 p.m. CT on Friday June 17, 2022.

The nominated Fellow or their nominator then completes the Fellow of the Year Award application to be considered by a panel of members of the Blackburn community. Applications for the 2022 award must be received by 11:59 p.m. CT on Friday, July 1, 2022.

To build community within the FIN and share the impact of Fellows with external partners, the top nominees will be profiled in the Blackburn Today newsletter and other media channels.  The Blackburn Fellow of the Year Award recipient will be announced each year at Annual Symposium.
